Biographical Profile

 

 

Stephen Bingham has more than 15 years experience providing change management and corporate
communications
services to the health science industry. He has served corporate, non- profit and government clients;

including clients in the pharmaceutical industry, hospitals, national patient groups, associations representing

the health sciences professions, government departments and agencies regulating healthcare, and the

medical device industry.

 

He has extensive experience leading consulting teams to design and execute strategic communications for a wide variety of clients as a communications consultant. In this role he has created and managed high profile internal corporate change management communications programs for large multi-nationsl companies, launched new pharmaceutical and medical device products, conducted media relations and marketing programs, facilitated public/private sector partnerships, conducted crisis/issue management and media training programs, and provided government and public relations counsel.

 

He has worked in many therapeutic categories in the health sciences, including vaccines, oncology, diabetes, infectious disease, hepatitis C, HIV/AIDS, cardiovascular, respiratory, osteoporosis, dermatology, central nervous system and mental health. He also has experience in OTC product communications, women’s health, hospital PR and marketing, vitamins and wellness, prenatal care and homecare.

 

Stephen holds a BA and MA from the University of Toronto. In 2005/06 he was appointed Adjunct Professor of Communications at the State University of New York at Amherst NY. He is a member of the Association of Marketing & PR Innovators, the Biotech & Pharma Professionals Network, the Association of Public Relations and Communications Professionals, and has served as a judge for the Canadian Science Writers' Association annual science writing awards program.

WHAT'S UP?

High-Profile Major Conference

 

Bingham Associates served as Project Manager to plan and organize a  major conference held in mid-town Manhattan by a multinational corporate client to host a dialogue event with multiple stakeholders about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The 150 attendees included several heads of state for African countries, corporate CEOs, key global health NGOs, prominent academics and journalists.

 

Global Comms Programs

 

For five years we planned and organized internal bi-annual global corporate communicatons conferences featuring the most senior communicators from a top-ten multinational pharma company. Stephen Bingham acted as host and moderator for this series of conferences held in Switzerland.

Award-Winnning Executive Video Communications

 

We created two internal corporate videos to highlight client CEO safety priorities, one of which won a prestigious 2014 industry Telly award. Both videos were prominently featured on the client's global intranet and have been shown in town hall meetings to thousands of employees.

For two years we planned and implemented an ongoing comprehensive change management corporate communications program for a top-ten global biotech firm -- this included many multimedia internal digital communications projects such as new website development, sharepoint content, graphic design & logo development, and a social media wiki site to increase team collaboration.
