

Biographical Profile
Stephen Bingham has more than 15 years experience providing public relations and communications
services to the health science industry. He has served corporate, non- profit and government clients;
including clients in the pharmaceutical industry, hospitals, national patient groups, associations representing
the health sciences professions, government departments and agencies regulating healthcare, and the
medical device industry.
He has extensive experience leading consulting teams to design and execute strategic communications for a wide variety of clients. In 1998 he founded Bingham Associates, a full-service health science PR agency. In this role he has created and managed high profile internal corporate communications programs for large multi-nationsl companies, launched new pharmaceutical and medical device products, conducted media relations and marketing programs, facilitated public/private sector partnerships, conducted crisis/issue management and media training programs, and provided government and public relations counsel.
He has worked in many therapeutic categories in the health sciences, including vaccines, oncology, diabetes, infectious disease, hepatitis C, HIV/AIDS, cardiovascular, respiratory, osteoporosis, dermatology, central nervous system and mental health. He also has experience in OTC product communications, women’s health, hospital PR and marketing, vitamins and wellness, prenatal care and homecare.
Stephen holds a BA and MA from the University of Toronto. In 2005 he was appointed Adjunct Professor of Communications at the State University of New York at Amherst NY. He is a member of the Association of Marketing & PR Innovators, the Biotech & Pharma Professionals Network, the Association of Public Relations and Communications Professionals, and has served as a judge from 1994-2004 for the Canadian Science Writers' Association annual science writing awards program.
